Igrot Kodesh · Letter 7237 — Tzedakah
Volume 19 · Letter 207
By the grace of Hashem,
25 Adar* 5720,
Brooklyn,
I greet you and bless you,
I duly received your letter of 23/3 and, finding myself today near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, I mentioned your name and those of the members of your family, in accordance with the content of your letter. May Hashem grant that you give me good tidings regarding this.
Moreover, we are at the conclusion of the month of Adar*, which is favorable for the Jews and for all that concerns them. We are approaching Nissan* and Pesach*, the festival of deliverance from all the obstacles to the service of Hashem, blessed be He, in joy and enthusiasm. With my blessing to give good tidings and to earn your livelihood more abundantly,
You make reference to stock market shares. In general, I accord no value to transactions involving stocks and speculation. More precisely, one should, in this matter, seek the counsel of an expert.
