To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Shlomo (note 1: Rav S. Matusof, of Casablanca. See, regarding him, letter no. 5936),

I greet you and bless you,

I have just received your express letter of 24 Adar* and the one that preceded it. May Hashem be praised for the miracles that could be observed concretely (note 2: A crack had been noticed in a wall of the Lubavitch* Yeshivah* of Casablanca. After all the students were evacuated, the entire building collapsed). May Hashem grant that henceforth, one always witness what is alluded to in the name of this month, that of Nissan* (note 3: Of the same etymology as Nes*, miracle), that is, miracles of miracles — and you will consult, regarding this, Tractate Berachos* 57a (note 4: Noting that Nissan* contains two Nuns*, the initial of Nes*, miracle, and therefore corresponds to "miracles of miracles") and the commentary of the Maharsha*, at that reference. Henceforth, the miracles will not serve to be preserved from unfortunate events, such as the one you describe, which Heaven forbid, but they will manifest within good itself (note 5: Making it all the more intense).

You know the following saying of our masters and leaders: "If good is good, is not better better?" One will therefore go from one good to another, materially and spiritually. And, as in these days of the conclusion of the month of Adar* and the introduction of Nissan*, we will bring one deliverance closer to the other. ות"ל על הנסים אשר ראו במוחש, ויהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא, הנה יהי' כרמז שם החודש, ניסן נסי נסים (עיין ברכות נ"ז ריש עמוד א' ובחדא"ג שם), ז.א. שלא יהיו נסים להציל ממאורע ל"ע ול"ע כעין שכותב, אלא נסים בטוב עצמו.

וכידוע פתגם רבותינו נשיאינו צי אז גוט איז גוט, איז בעסער ניט בעסער (בתמי').

וללכת מטוב אל טוב הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות, וכימים אלה, סיום וחותם חדש אדר וכניסה לחדש ניסן, מסמך גאולה לגאולה.
