To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Shalom Yehudah Leib (note 1: Rav Sh. Y. L. Gansburg, of Bnei Brak),

I greet you and bless you,

After a long interruption, I duly received your letter of the second day of Rosh Chodesh* and I read therein, with pleasure, that you teach Chassidus* publicly. Moreover, some of those who attend this teaching are Yeshivah* students. It is clear that you will not content yourself with the number of those who listen to you until now. You will strive to greatly expand your audience, for it is said of a Jewish soul that it constitutes, in itself, an entire world. How much more so for a Yeshivah* student, who will soon establish a Jewish home. Every addition on his part, particularly in the study of the profound dimension of the Torah*, which in our era has been revealed through Chassidus*, will be a profound and essential contribution to the home he will build, at a good and fruitful moment. This is self-evident.

You ask me whether you should also fix a study session with the very last people who approached you for this purpose. Of course, it all depends on the possibility of gathering them all together (note 2: Of finding a time that suits everyone). You also ask me about the Chassidic* discourses you should teach. It goes without saying that these must be meticulously corrected. You will therefore choose printed texts which, moreover, for the most part possess notes and references. With my blessing to give good tidings of this, as well as of the state of health of your father, who will have long days and good years,

שלום וברכה!

לאחרי הפסק ארוך, נתקבל מכתבו מבדר"ח אדר, ונעם לי לקרות בו, אשר לומד דא"ח ברבים, ובעיקר שכמה מהם אברכי ישיבה. ובודאי שלא יסתפק בכמות השומעים דעתה, אלא ישתדל שיתוספו כהנה וכהנה, שהרי נפש אחת מישראל עלי' נאמר שהוא עולם מלא, ובפרט אברך ישיבה שבעתיד הקרוב יבנה בית בישראל, שכל הטבה בו, ובפרט הוספה בלימוד פנימיות התורה אשר בדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, הרי זו הוספה פנימית ועיקרית בביתו שיקים בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, וק"ל.

לשאלתו האם יצרף אליהם החדשים שפנו אליו זה עתה לקבוע גם עמהם לימוד בהנ"ל, - מובן שתלוי זה באפשריות ההתאמה ביניהם וכיו"ב.

לשאלתו באיזה מאמרים ימשיכו, - מובן שצ"ל במאמרים שהם מוגהים היטב. ולכן יהי' זה במאמרים הנדפסים, ובפרט שהרי כמה מהם עם הערות וציונים וכו'.
