By the grace of Hashem,

To the attention of the guests at the wedding celebration of the young man, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, student of the Yeshivah*, the Rav I. Sh. (note 1: Rav I. Sh. Landa), and to all those who signed the letter of blessing on the occasion of the birthday (note 2: Of the Rebbe, the 11th of Nissan*), may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of blessing referred to above. And an answer has already been given to you by our holy Torah*, Torah* of life, according to which: "Whoever bestows a blessing is himself blessed" — but with the blessing of the Holy One, blessed be He, whose interest surpasses the capital. Moreover, this blessing is bestowed during a Chassidic* gathering.

Now, you know the words of the Alter Rebbe* (note 3: See, on this subject, letters no. 5999 and 6492), according to which a note descended from the highest heavens, upon which was inscribed: "What a Chassidic* gathering can accomplish, the angel Michael* himself cannot do." And he himself gives an explanation on this subject, which is expounded in a letter of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, printed in the first collection of his letters. Of course, in this blessing from Hashem is also included the satisfaction of the request of the heart of every Jew, within all of Israel, for a kosher and joyous Pesach* festival, as well as for a true liberation. Subsequently, this joy and this liberation will extend throughout the year. With my respects and my blessing for a kosher and joyous Pesach* festival,

בנועם קבלתי מכתב ברכה האמור. וכבר מלתם אמורה בתורתנו הק' תורת חיים, כל המברך יתברך, אלא שבברכתו של הקב"ה שהיא מרובה על העיקר.

וביחוד כאשר באה הברכה מתוך התועדות חסידותית, וכידוע דברי רבנו הזקן ע"ד הפתקא אשר משמי שמיא נחתא וכו' דאס וואס עס קען אויפטאן א חסידישער פארבריינגען קען מלאך מיכאל ניט אויפטאן, וביאורו בזה כמובא במכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נדפס בקובץ מכתבים א'.

ובברכת השי"ת האמורה מובן וגם פשוט שנכללת משאלות לבב כל אחד מישראל בתכ"י חג פסח כשר ושמח, חירות אמיתית, ולהמשיך מהשמחה וחירות בכל ימות השנה.
