I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter of this Friday, the eve of Shabbos*, in which you tell me of your journey next Sunday. Without a doubt, you will take your Tefillin* with you, and each of you will also take a Tehillim* and a Tanya*. During the journey, you will study at least a few lines of Tanya* and recite at least a few Psalms. In this way, your journey will go well, in peace, at a good and fruitful moment.

Of course, all of this is in addition to what has already been explained many times — namely, the necessity of fixing a regular time for the study of the inner dimension of the Torah*, which, in our era, has been revealed through Chassidus*. In our days, this is indeed the necessity of the moment and, moreover, a personal obligation. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

במענה למכתבם מועש"ק, בו כותבים אודות נסיעתם ביום א' הבע"ל.

ומהנכון שנוסף על התפילין שלהם שבודאי לוקחים אתם, יקחו גם כן ספר תהלים וספר תניא כל אחד מהם, ובמשך הנסיעה ללמוד עכ"פ איזה שורות מספר התניא ולומר איזה מזמורי תהלים, ותהא הנסיעה בסדר ובשלום ובשעה טובה ומוצלחת.

מובן שכל הנ"ל הוא נוסף על המבואר זה כמה וכמה פעמים, על ההכרח בקביעות עתים בלימוד פנימיות התורה שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, שבתקופתנו הוא הכרח השעה וחובת גברא.
