To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Menachem Yisrael (note 1: Rav M. Y. Melov, of Bnei Brak. See, regarding him, letter no. 6851),

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of Isru Chag* (note 2: The day after the festival) of Pesach*, announcing good news to me about the Chassidic* gathering of the Meal of Moshiach* (note 3: On the last day of Pesach*), which took place in the Chabad* synagogue, small Sanctuary of Bnei Brak. May Hashem grant that this small Sanctuary grow ever greater, until we merit the realization of the promise according to which the Third Beis HaMikdash* will descend (note 4: From Heaven, where it will already be built) and be revealed here below, very soon. I read, with particular interest, what you tell me of the Divine Providence*, as you were able to observe it.

I also saw what you write regarding the request for a blessing (note 5: The addressee wrote: "On the eve of the seventh day of Pesach*, I was sent with my friend, a former student of the Yeshivah*, Rav Yisrael Tzvi Heber, in order to choose the resting place for the man of good, Rav Dov Gansburg, in the holy city of Tzfas*. Some time remained before the arrival of the coffin and we therefore went before the resting place of the holy Arizal*. I then asked for a blessing for all the Chassidim*, in the Holy Land and in the rest of the world." Concerning the passing of Rav Gansburg, see letter no. 7272). It is clear that you did well, and I am surprised that you had any doubt about this, regardless of the period and, even more so, because this occurred during the propitious time of our freedom. The meaning of this freedom was specified in my letter addressed to all on the occasion of the festival of Pesach* this year (note 6: Letter no. 7257). Moreover, it was a matter, in this instance, of accomplishing an Injunction (note 7: That of burying the deceased). In such a case, the one who accomplishes the Mitzvah*, whoever he may be, receives the Infinite Light of Hashem. Moreover, such a Light is not concealed — it is evident, to the point that one must rise in Its Presence, as explained by Tanya*, in chapter 36, and also by the Chassidic* discourse that was delivered during the Shabbos* on which the month of radiance was blessed (note 8: That of Iyar*, namely Shabbos* Parshas* Shemini*, 26 Nissan*).

May Hashem grant that in the future, you use all of this to give good tidings, of a visible and tangible good. These tidings will pertain both to your communal achievements and to your personal concerns. At a propitious moment, I will cite all those you mention near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that they obtain the satisfaction of their needs. נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מא"ח הפסח, בבשורה טובה בהנוגע להתועדות בסעודתא דמשיחא ובהנוגע לביהכ"נ חב"ד, מקדש מעט בבני ברק, ויהי רצון שזה המקדש מעט יגדל ביותר וביותר עדי נזכה לקיום היעוד דהמשכת וגילוי ביהמ"ק השלישי ובעגלא דידן.

בהתענינות מיוחדה קראתי מ"ש אודות השגחה פרטית שראה וכן מ"ש הפ"נ, ומובן שבודאי ובודאי טוב עשה, ולפלא גם הספק בזה, אפילו בימים סתם, ובפרט שהי' האמור בימי סגולה דזמן חירותנו, וכמבואר ענין חירות זו גם במכתבי הכללי לחג הפסח דהשתא, וביחוד שהי' זה בקישור לקיום מצוה, שאז שורה במקיים המצוה יהי' מי שיהי' א"ס ב"ה, ולא בהעלם והסתר כי אם בגלוי עד כדי כך שצריך לקום לפניו, כמבואר בתניא פל"ו ונתבאר גם במאמר חסידות דשבת מברכין חדש זיו.

ויהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא ינצל כל האמור לבש"ט בטוב הנראה והנגלה, ויבשר טוב בענינים הכללים והפרטים גם יחד.

בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך להם.
