(Nissan* 5720) (note 1: This letter is a response to the following question, posed on Thursday, 3 Nissan*: "Is there a foundation, in the holy books, research reports, and scientific works, allowing one to affirm that the thought of a person can act upon that of his fellow, especially if the two people are close, friends, and familiar in spirit? I have been able to verify, on various occasions, that this was indeed the case.")

You ask me about the impact of thought, including at a distance. You will consult, on this subject, the Likkutei Dibburim* (note 2: Of the Frierdiker Rebbe*), Shemini Atzeres* 5693 (note 3: 1932). Regarding people who are close, one can indeed advance that the same conclusion is also adopted by science.
