I bless you and greet you,

I am responding to your two letters of 29 Iyar*. At a propitious moment, all those you cite will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, in accordance with what you write to me. You speak of establishing yourself in life. Now, it is quite clear that true happiness consists in possessing a Jewish home, which has been built by a Torah* scholar who studied at the Yeshivah*, who learned Torah* with fear of Hashem, as established by the words of our Sages*, reported by various texts.

On this subject, you speak of your difficulty in earning a livelihood just after mentioning the fact that you cover your head. Now, what is surprising about the fact that it is difficult for you to earn a livelihood in such a case? The holy Zohar*, Volume 3, page 126a, explains that if the mistress of the house covers her head in the fitting manner, all receive the celestial and terrestrial blessings alike — children and grandchildren. And our Torah*, Torah* of life, teaches what conduct one must adopt in life, including on a daily basis. We are approaching the time of the giving of our Torah* and may Hashem therefore grant that, henceforth, only our Torah*, Torah* of light, illumine your path in life. It is then that you will be truly happy, materially and spiritually. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this, as well as for a joyous festival,

בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותבת אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבה.

ובמה שכותבת אודות הסתדרותה בחיים, פשוט הדבר אשר האושר האמיתי הוא בבנין בית בישראל יחד עם בן תורה שלמד בישיבה לימוד התורה ביראת שמים, וכמבואר בכמה מקומות בדברי רבותינו ז"ל...

דרך אגב במה שמזכירה על דבר דוחק הפרנסה בהמשך לענין כיסוי ראש, - מה פלא שהפרנסה דחוקה, והרי מבואר בזהר הק' (חלק ג' קכ"ו ע"א) אשר כשענין כיסוי הראש על ידי עקרת הבית בסדר הוא, מתברכים בכולא בברכאן דלעילא, בברכאן דלתתא בעותרא בבנין בבני בנין, והרי תורתנו תורת חיים, הוראה איך לנהוג בחיים ועד לחיי היום יומים.

ויהי רצון שבהתקרבנו לזמן מתן תורתנו, הרי מכאן ולהבא אך תורתנו תורה אור תאיר את דרכה בחיים, ואז מאושרה תהי' באמת מנפש ועד בשר.
