By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter of 26 Tammuz*. At a propitious moment, your name will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with what you write to me. You are suspected of what you did not do, and the solution is therefore to distance yourself from all of this, to the fullest extent possible, including from a place where there is the slightest doubt that someone connected to what happened might be found.

You make reference to your engagement. One must act in this matter according to natural ways and with modesty. You must also strengthen your trust in Hashem, Who forms couples, grants His providence to each person, and guides them toward what is good for them. It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked. Each weekday, before putting them on, you will set aside a few coins for Tzedakah*. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

בעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבו.

ובמה שחושדין אותו במה שאין בו, - העצה לזה להתרחק מהענין עד קצה האחרון, ז.א. אפילו במקום שיש רק צל של ספק שאולי יש לאחר חלק ושייכות בדבר.

לכתבו בהנוגע לענין שידוך, צריך לעשות בדרך הטבע ובדרכי צניעות, ולחזק בטחונו בהשי"ת שהוא מזווג זיווגים והמשגיח בהשגחה פרטית על כל או"א שינחהו בטוב לפניו,

מהנכון אשר יבדקו את התפילין שלו, וכן אשר בכל יום חול קודם הנחת התפילין יפריש פרוטות אחדות לצדקה.
