To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Michoel Yehudah Aryeh Leib (note 1: Rav M. Y. A. L. Cohen. See, regarding him, letters no. 5756 and 6579) HaCohen,

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of 22 Tammuz* and, at a propitious moment, all those you mention will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with what you write to me. You tell me that your son Aharon has registered to obtain housing in Kfar Chabad* and I am pleased by this. No doubt he has received my letter on this subject. May Hashem grant that you give me good tidings, of a true good, which is, as our Sages* say, "good for the heavens and good for health" (note 2: Bri'us, health, paraphrasing the phrase: "good for the heavens and good for the creatures, Bri'os"), a good that bears fruit, in all the domains to which you allude.

We are in the days that commemorate the destruction of the Temple. Now, the purpose of a commemoration is to determine why it was so — in this case, "on account of our transgressions." Concretely, destruction disappears through construction. Nevertheless, as Chassidus* explains, at present one adds lights in the world of Atzilus*, which one rebuilds. Then, very soon, with the coming of our righteous Moshiach*, this will also be revealed in our lower world. Chassidus* states, on this subject, an analogy (note 3: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "In particular in the commentary on the discourse entitled: 'I shall rejoice,' in the Likkutei Torah*") — that of several forces found in the same place. And the same applies in all the worlds, from that of Atzilus* down to Asiyah*. This is quite evident. With my blessing to give good tidings,

ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב, בטוב אמיתי - שהוא כדברי רז"ל טוב לשמים טוב לבריות וטוב העושה פירות, בכל הענינים אודותם כותב.

והרי נמצאים בימי זכרון לחורבן, שתכלית הזכרון לדעת סיבת החורבן (ומפני חטאינו) ומיעוט החורבן הרי זה ע"י בנין, אלא שכמבואר בדא"ח לע"ע מוסיפים אורות באצילות ובנין באצילות, ובעגלא דידן בביאת משיח צדקנו יתגלה גם בעולמנו זה התחתון. ומבואר בדא"ח* הדוגמא - איך שכמה כחות נמצאים במקום אחד - שעד"ז כל העולמות, מתחיל מן עולם האצילות ועד העשי'. וק"ל.
