I duly received your letter, the first since you left here! You will understand that I am profoundly astonished and surprised by this. You ask me about your settlement. It is clear that from here, one can only give general orientations, which are, in this case, the following. You must remain in the domain of Chabad*, within Chabad* institutions, or in Kfar Chabad*, wherever you will make use of your abilities. Which institution to choose? This must be decided on the spot. You will therefore consult friends, for a person is not objective regarding what concerns him and does not always observe the situation as clearly as it really is.
