I duly received your letter, with what was enclosed. At a propitious moment, your name will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with the content of your letter. I hope that it is unnecessary to specify to you that every Jew, man or woman, young or old, must strengthen his trust in Hashem, Who accords His Providence* to each person, in all aspects of his life, in particular concerning your state of health. This must instill in you determination and courage. You must have the conviction that in the end, all will be well.

Hashem desires that one do everything in one's power, acting according to the natural ways. It is therefore proper to solicit the opinion of a specialist doctor and, in your case, a neurologist, knowledgeable in illnesses of the mind. You will follow his prescriptions and Hashem will grant His blessing so that you experience success. The greater your trust in Hashem, the more evident the blessing will be.

It would be good to have the Mezuzos* of your apartment checked, to ensure that they are fully in conformity with the Law. You will do the same for the Tefillin* of your husband. Every weekday morning, before putting on the Tefillin*, he will give some coins, a small sum, to Tzedakah*. As for you, you will do the same each time you light the candles, on the eve of Shabbos* and the festivals, in accordance with the positive custom of Jewish women. With my blessing to give good tidings of all that has just been said,

הנני מקוה ,שבטח למותר להבהיר שכל יהודי ,איש או אשה ,צעיר

או זקן ,צריך להיות חזק בבטחון בהשם יתברך ,המשגיח על כל אחד

בהשגחה פרטית ,על כל פרטי חייו ,ובמיוחד בעניני בריאות ,וזה צריך

להוסיף חיזוק ועידוד ,להיות בטוח שבסופו של דבר הכל יהי׳ לטובה.

ומכיון שהשם יתברך רוצה שיעשו הכל ,מה שתלוי באדם עצמו,

בדרך הטבע ,לכן יש להוודע דעתו של רופא מומחה ,ובמקרה שלה ,רופא

עצבים ומומחה במצב רוח ,ולמלא הוראותיו ,והשי״ת נותן את ברכתו

שזה יהי׳ בהצלחה ,ובהצלחה מיוחדת ,וככל שחזקים יותר בבטחון,

רואים יותר את הברכה.

ראוי שיבדקו את המזוזות בדירתם ,שתהיינה כשרות כדין ,וגם את

התפילין של בעלה שי׳ ,ושבכל יום מימות החול לפני הנחת התפילין יתן

כמה פרוטות )סכום קטן( לצדקה ,והיא תעשה כן כל פעם לפני הדלקת

הנרות בערב שבת ובערב יום טוב ,כמנהג הטוב של בנות ישראל.
