To the members of the association for the third meal (note 1: Of Shabbos*), under the direction of the students of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Montreal, may Hashem grant you long life (note 2: The same letter was addressed to several organizations. See also the following letter),
I greet you and bless you,
I learned with pleasure of the fifth anniversary of your sacred activity, which takes place at the time of "the Will of all wills" (note 3: In the afternoon of Shabbos*, after the Minchah* prayer), during the holy Shabbos* that infuses blessing into all the days of the week. Moreover, as you write to me, words of fear of Hashem, of our Torah* and its Mitzvos*, are then pronounced.
May Hashem grant that in this matter, you experience elevation in the domain of holiness, quantitatively and qualitatively, in conformity with the words of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, stated concerning the generation of the heel of Moshiach*. Indeed, he explains in chapter 11 (note 4: Corresponding to this year 5721, the eleventh after the passing of the previous Rebbe*) of the Chassidic* discourse of the Hilula*, that the precious treasures are opened above — the immense wealth accumulated over the generations. These, through the intermediary of the officers, are then transmitted to the simple soldiers. You will therefore use them fully, among all that constitutes the Torah* and the Mitzvos*. ויהי רצון שיעלו בקדש בהאמור, הן בכמות והן באיכות, ומתאים לדברי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע (בנוגע לדור דעקבתא משיחא) במאמר ההילולא פרק י"א, אשר מלמעלה פותחים את האוצרות סגולה דהון יקר הנאסף מדור אחר דור, ומוסרים ע"י פקידי החיל בשביל החיל, הנה ינצלו את זה בפעולתם, בתוככי כללות הענין דתורה ומצותי'
