You ask me, on behalf of a certain person, about the purchase of shares. One must first ask whether one does not thereby transgress the prohibition of usury, since, according to what you indicate in your letter, this company consists only of Jews. Indeed, our Sages* affirm that "usury carries away the principal along with it."
