I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter of 28 Shevat*. At a propitious moment, all those you cite will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. Since you transmitted this request to me, may Hashem grant that you also give me good tidings regarding it.

I must, furthermore, express my surprise and astonishment upon observing that until now, one has not yet envisaged effectively publishing your articles on the Baal Shem Tov*, whereas this was truly being discussed several weeks ago. Now, the act is essential and in this matter, one observes not only the study that is thus published, but also the example that is given. Furthermore, in this specific case, logic itself establishes that it must indeed be so. It is clear that my purpose is not to moralize, but rather to encourage you for the future. Indeed, concrete action could intervene even later than the day after tomorrow. May Hashem therefore grant that you write all of this as soon as possible — tomorrow, but no later.

We are entering the month of Adar*, whose Mazal* is strong for the children of Israel and for everything that concerns them. Awaiting good tidings of all this,

בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ויהי רצון שכשם שהביא הבקשה כן יבשר טוב בזה.

מוכרחני להביע תמיהתי ופליאתי על שעד עתה לא נשמע ע"ד להו"ל בפועל מאמריו ע"ד הבעש"ט ז"ל, אף שמלפני כמה שבועות נדבר עד"ז בהנוגע לפועל, והרי שהמעשה הוא העיקר - רואים לא רק נדפס במשנה, כי אם גם במעשה רב, נוסף על שכגון הנ"ל - הוא גם סברא פשוטה. ופשוט שאין כוונתי להטפת מוסר, כי אם זירוז עכ"פ בהנוגע להבא, שהרי יכול להיות הבפועל אחר מחרתים, ויהי רצון שתקדים הכתיבה דלעיל - שיהי' עכ"פ למחר, אבל לא למחר לאחר זמן.

והרי נכנסים אנו בחדש אדר, שבו בריא מזלא דבני ישראל ועניניהם.
