To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Nachum (note 1: Rav N. Travnik, of Kfar Chabad*. See, regarding him, letter no. 4308),

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of 13 Tammuz*, with your request for a blessing, which will be read, at a propitious moment, near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us.

Basing myself on what the Likkutei Torah* says in Parshas* Bamidbar*, page 6b, which comments on the statement of our Sages* according to which: "We have found... only this one," I am very surprised that you do not date your letter. Indeed, the 12th and 13th of Tammuz* are propitious days, introducing repair in all the domains for which the one whose joy we celebrate gave of himself. Acting in this way is a means of obtaining the fulfillment of the wish of your heart (note 2: Presumably the matter of having a child), not only in a spiritual manner, but also with regard to your material concerns. This is self-evident. With my respects and my blessing to give good tidings,

ולפלא גדול שאינו מציין (עיין לקו"ת במדבר ו, ב בפי' מרז"ל: ולא מצינו כו' אלא זה כו') יום תאריך כתיבת מכתבו והרי הימים י"ב וי"ג תמוז ימי סגולה לתקון בכל הענינים עליהם מסר נפשו בעל השמחה ועשיית הנ"ל ה"ז כלי למילוי משאלות לבב לטובה לא רק בענינים הרוחנים אלא גם בענינים גשמיים, וק"ל.
