By the grace of Hashem,

To the directors of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, in Lod, may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

You ask me about the students of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* who participate, for example, in the activities of the union of Yeshivah* students (note 1: Disseminating, in particular, Chassidus* in other Yeshivos*). I am surprised that you are in doubt and that you ask me about what was clearly expressed by the founders and directors of Tomchei Temimim*, the Rebbe Rashab* and his son, my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. Indeed, they clearly stated and wrote that everything concerning the students is subject to the decision of the Yeshivah* administration, which rules in the final instance on all questions, moral and physical. It is therefore only in this manner that one can obtain the light of the one who bestows influence. For this, it is necessary to have possessed, beforehand, the light that receives (note 2: Only the one who submits to the Yeshivah* administration can subsequently influence others positively). And, the holy talks that were delivered on this subject are well known (note 3: By the Rebbe Rashab*, in the Toras Shalom*, page 75).

May Hashem grant that ultimately, branches of the Yeshivos* Tomchei Temimim* be inaugurated in every location, in conformity with the will and the hope of our masters and leaders. Such is their will and it is therefore certain that it will be realized. Nevertheless, it is preferable that it be so as soon as possible, with joy and enthusiasm, that the wellsprings (note 4: Of Chassidus*) spread through them and by them, until reaching the most distant outside and bringing about the coming of the herald of the good tiding — Pinchas* who is Eliyahu* — in order to draw near those who are distant. Immediately after this, it will be the true and complete redemption by our righteous Moshiach*, the Moshiach* descendant of Dovid*, as it is said: "A star has made its way from Yaakov* and a king directs Israel... and Israel performs great feats." With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

... לשאלתם בנוגע לתלמידי ישיבת תו"ת שי' המשתתפים בפעולות את"ה וכיו"ב...

לפלא הספק והשאלה בדבר המפורש ממייסדי תו"ת ומנהלי' - כ"ק אדמו"ר (הרש"ב) ובנו כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שברור אמרו וכתבו שכל עניני התלמידים הם ברשות הנהלת הישיבה, ועל פיהם דוקא יתנהגו מנפש ועד בשר, ורק זוהי הדרך להתהוות אור משפיע - כשמקודם לזה יהי' אור מקבל, וכידוע שיחות קדש בזה.

ויהי רצון אשר סו"ס יתפתחו כל סניפי ישיבות תומכי תמימים בכל מקום שהם, מתאים לרצון ותקות רבותינו נשיאינו,

אשר כיון שרצונם הוא, מוכרח שיבוא בפועל, אלא שיפה שעה אחת קודם ומתוך שמחה וטוב לבב, ויפוצו המעינות בהם ומהם ועד שיגיעו גם לחוצה הכי רחוק, ויביאו מבשר טוב פנחס זה אלי' לקרב הרחוקים, ותיכף וסמוך לו - גאולה האמיתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו משיח בן דוד, וכמ"ש דרך כוכב מיעקב וקם שבט מישראל וגו' וישראל עושה חיל.
