By the grace of Hashem, eve of

Shabbos* Parshas* Pinchas*, which blesses

the month of Menachem Av* 5721,

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of the conclusion of Shabbos* (note 1: This letter was addressed to several people). We are on the eve of the Shabbos* that blesses the month of Menachem Av*. May Hashem, our Father Who is in Heaven, merciful Father and Father of mercy (note 2: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the Likkutei Torah*, Parshas* Naso*, page 23a"), console His people Israel, as our Sages* promise us. In this case, it will be a double consolation (note 3: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Midrash* Eichah* Rabbah, at the end of chapter 1. Likkutei Torah*, Parshas* Nitzavim*, page 48a. Notes on Eichah*, regarding the verse: 'Weep, she shall weep'"), which will be double precisely in order to achieve its objective.

Indeed, it is known (note 4: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the Midrash* Shemos* Rabbah, at the beginning of chapter 46, the Bechaye* on the verse Tisa* 32:15, and the Chassidic* discourse entitled: 'The eighth day,' of 5699") that the second time has nothing in common with the first, that it is not a simple multiplication by two. Very soon and very shortly, we will merit the coming of the one who will herald the good tiding — Pinchas*, who is Eliyahu* (note 5: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "He enabled Israel to attain Teshuvah*, according to the Pirkei* of Rabbi Eliezer*, chapter 47. See also the Ralbag* on the verse Melachim* 1, 17:1"). Then, "these days will be transformed into gladness, joy, and joyous celebrations." With my blessing to give good tidings,
