To the directors of the Yeshivah* Achei Temimim* Lubavitch of Buffalo, may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I received with pleasure your letter, informing me that the situation of the holy Yeshivah* Achei Temimim* Lubavitch of Buffalo is improving. Even though you specified that this improvement is material, I have good hope that it is also manifesting in the spiritual domain. Indeed, in everything that concerns the children of Israel, the material and the spiritual go hand in hand, since they are a unique people on the earth. And, the explanation of the Alter Rebbe*, author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch*, is well known — they draw the Unity down to this lower earth. This is self-evident.

For everything that concerns holiness, we have been enjoined to practice an addition and to experience elevation. May Hashem therefore grant that all of this multiply broadly, for the merit of the public comes to your aid in this matter. I therefore address to you my blessing of success in your sacred mission. May Hashem grant that you carry it out in tranquility, joy, and enthusiasm and that you send me good tidings.

נעם לי לקבל מכתבם מודיע מהטבת המצב בהישיבה הק' אחי תמימים ליובאוויטש אשר בבופאלא, ואף שבפירוש כותבים ע"ד הטבה בגשמיות, תקותי חזקה אשר כן הוא גם בהנוגע למצב הרוחני.

ובפרט אשר עניני בני ישראל, הגשם והרוח יחדיו יהלכו, שהרי גוי אחד הם בארץ, וידוע פרוש רבנו בזקן בעל התניא והשו"ע, שממשיכים האחדות בארץ הלזו התחתונה, וק"ל.

וכיון שבעניני קדושה נצטוינו להוסיף ולהעלות בקדש יהי רצון שיתוסף בהאמור כהנה וכהנה, והרי זכות הרבים מסייעתם.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתם הקדושה, ויהי רצון שיעשו בזה מתוך מנוחה שמחה וטוב לבב ויבש"ט
