By the grace of Hashem,

Eve of Shabbos* Parshas* Nitzavim* 5721,

"You are all standing this day"

Brooklyn, New York,

To the attention of the residents of the Chabad* quarter of the

holy city of Jerusalem, may it be restored and rebuilt,

by our righteous Moshiach*, speedily and in our days,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, the telegraphic information of the meeting of the residents of the Chabad* quarter. They will begin to pray, to study, and to hold Chassidic* gatherings in this place, starting from Shabbos* Nitzavim*. May Hashem grant that this beginning take place at a good and fruitful moment. Thus, this quarter will be the Sanctuary of Hashem. The blessing will reside there and the joy will be great, in the homes of all its residents, with the members of their families, both materially and spiritually.

The present commencement takes place during these propitious days and this house is, in this instance, inaugurated through Torah* and Chassidus*, during the Shabbos* that precedes Rosh Hashanah* and during which one systematically reads Parshas* Nitzavim*, as the Likkutei Torah* of the Alter Rebbe* explains, at the beginning of Parshas* Nitzavim*. And, one finds an allusion to this in the expression: "this day," as the Zohar*, volume 3, at page 231a specifies.

May Hashem therefore grant that the terms of the verse be fulfilled in you: "You are all standing together this day before Hashem your Elokim*," with all the explanations, all the allusions that are stated on this subject, whose central idea is unity, depth, the will of the heart, concretely felt, so that one prepares for the new year that is coming, for us and for all of Israel, for good and for blessing, and then preserves all of this for the entire duration of this year. With my respects, my blessing that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, both materially and spiritually,

בנועם קבלתי הידיעה מברקית ע"ד כניסת המשתכנים לשיכון חב"ד ושמתחילים להתפלל וללמוד ולהתועד במקום בשבת נצבים.

ויהי רצון שתהי' הכניסה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ויהי' השיכון משכן לו ית', ובמילא תהי' הברכה מצוי' והשמחה מרובה במעונם של כל המשתכנים ובני ביתם שיחיו, בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

וכיון שהכניסה היא בימי סגולה אלו וחנוך הבית בתורה ודא"ח הוא בשבת שלפני ראש השנה, אשר אז קוראים תמיד פ' נצבים (וראה לקו"ת לאדמו"ר הזקן ריש פ' נצבים) , וכידוע הרמז על זה בתיבת היום (זח"ג רלא, א), יהא רעוא מקדם שמיא שיקויים בהם הכתוב אתם נצבים היום כלכם לפני הוי' אלקיכם, עם כל הפירושים ורמזים שבזה, שנקודתם אחדות ופנימיות ורעותא דלבא בפועל ממש, בתוך הכנה לשנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה והמשכה בכל ימות השנה.

בכבוד ובברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
