eager communal leaders, of manifold

accomplishments, who cherish the Torah* and seek

Tzedakah*, members of the Chabad* Association and the

women's auxiliary of the city of Newark, New Jersey,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your esteemed contribution of ten dollars, which was transmitted to me by our friend, the great Rav and Chassid*, distinguished student of the Yeshivah*, man of great knowledge and manifold accomplishments, Rav Moshe Pinchas Katz. I thank you for it. We are satisfied to observe your positive and warm interest in our important work. We hope that you will continue to show us this interest and to support this endeavor, not only through your important contributions, but also by disseminating the Conversations with the Youth, a monthly publication of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch*, in order to exercise a decisive moral influence on your city. May you therefore be blessed. Having knowledge of the spiritual action that you conduct in the domain of Torah* and education, we have the firm hope that you will obtain a broad achievement by disseminating these Conversations among the youth of your city. באגה״ק סכ״ז שחיי הצדיק הם רוחניים אמונה ואהוי״ר .וידוע שהצדיק

הולך מחיל אל חיל תמיד.

ומה שכותב אודותיי ,הנה מה מועילה הכתיבה ,כשבכל זאת -איןלי את זה .על עצמי -אין ]לי[ צורך לחפש רמזים ופירושים .מספיקה

בשבילי התבוננות קלה בנדו״ז במעמדי ומצבי ,כדי לדעת במה אוחזים.

]לכן [,מה יכול לשנות אחר עם ראיות ושכל? אלא ,מה יהי׳? -הרי מה אני

יודע מה חושב הרבי ,זוהי אחריותו ,ובודאי ידאג לזה .כיצד -אינני יודע.

ישנם עוד דברים שאינני יודע.
