Chassid* who fears Hashem, of generous conduct,

of manifold knowledge and broad accomplishments,

I greet you and bless you,

You surely have knowledge of the important moral action that is being conducted by the Machaneh Israel*, an institution founded by my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*. It has been discussed at length and, despite that, briefly, in the periodical HaKriah VeHaKedushah*. One of the essential aspects of the sacred mission of the Machaneh Israel* is the creation of Tehillim* groups (note 2: See, on this subject, letters no. 22 and 23, as well as the preceding letter and letters no. 7769 to 7771) in the synagogues and the strengthening of those that already exist. The first of all is the international Tehillim* association, founded in Jerusalem, at the initiative of the Rebbe* Shlita*, who prays and intercedes on behalf of all the Tehillim* groups in the world and their members.

Before setting to work to disseminate this important idea and to invite the synagogues of Chicago to create Tehillim* groups, which will also lead us to publish announcements in the newspapers (note 3: See, on this subject, the preceding letter), it is necessary that our brothers, the children of Israel, residing in Chicago, have a general notion of the accomplishments of the Machaneh Israel*. I therefore formulate a pressing request to my friend. You will arrange for the article published in the Morgen Journal, which I am enclosing, to also be published, at the earliest, by the Courier. I know your love and your self-sacrifice toward all that is sacred to us. Furthermore, you exercise a broad influence on the editorial board of the Courier. I therefore have good hope that, with the help of Hashem, your intervention will be fruitful. In this way, you will confer a merit on the many and you will be blessed. Time is pressing, for we must send the list of all the Tehillim* groups to Jerusalem, may it be restored and rebuilt, before Hoshanah Rabbah*. You will no doubt act at the earliest and we thank you in advance. With all my friendship, blessing you and wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

בטח שמע מהעבודה הרוחניות הגדולה המתנהלת ע"י מחנה ישראל, אשר יסד חותני כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א, ואשר דובר עלי' ארוכות וקצרות בהקריאה והקדושה.

אחד מעני[ני] עבודת הקודש של מחנה ישראל הוא יסוד חברות תהלים בבתי הכנסת, וחיזוק החברות-תהלים הקיימות כבר, אשר ראש לכל חברות-תהלים היא חברת תהלים העולמית שנוסדר בירושלים בהתעוררות כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א, הנושאת רנה ותפלה בעד כל חברות-תהלים שבעולם וחבריהן שי'.

וקודם שהננו נגשים בתעמולה להפיץ הרעיון הנשגב הזה ולעורר בתי הכנסיות בשיקאגא לייסד חברות תהלים, ואשר לתכלית זו מתעתדים אנו גם להכניס מודעה בעתונם, מן הצורך אשר אחב"י יושבי שיקאגא יקבלו מושג כללי מעבודת מחנה ישראל.

לזאת הנני בא בבקשה גדולה לידידי שי' אשר יואיל נא להשתדל כי המאמר שהופיע בהמארגען זשורנאל (שהנני מסגיר פה) יופיע גם בהקוריער בהקדם.

בידעי חבתו ומסירותו לכל הקדוש לנו, ומאידך גיסא השפעתו הרבה במערכת של ה"קוריער" הנני מלא תקוה כי יצליח בעזהשי"ת בהשתדלות זו, ויהי' ממזכי הרבים, ותבוא עליו ברכה.

השעה דחוקה באשר הננו אומרים לשלוח רשימת כל החברות תהלים לירושלים ת"ו עוד על הושענה-רבא, ובטח יזדרז בזה, ותודתנו אמורה לו מראש.
