I greet you and bless you,

For lack of time, I am responding at once to your letters addressed to the Machaneh Israel* and to those of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch*, from the conclusion of Shabbos* Parshas Haazinu* and from the eve of Yom Kippur*:

A) Regarding the shipment of the periodical HaKriah VeHaKedushah*, the managers have noticed that thirty-one packages have been lost. They have promised to send to your location everything that was requested, as quickly as possible.

B) We duly received here the ten Canadian dollars of taxes, which were transmitted by Rav T. P. (note 3: Presumably Rav Tzvi Plotkin. See, regarding him, letter no. 29).

C) In application of the new regulations on the sending of printed material to other continents, we may fear that such packages will be considered too heavy in Canada as well. We therefore suggest that you order from now on the largest quantity of our publications that might be useful to you in the future.

D) You will kindly let me know how many copies should be sent to you of the Megillah* of 19 Kislev* (note 4: Recounting the liberation of the Alter Rebbe*), in Yiddish and in English.

E) Inasmuch as you are the principal delegate of the Machaneh Israel* in Canada, I wish to inform you that, in order to maintain good relations, we wrote yesterday to the Shochet* Karakovski (note 5: Rav Shmuel Karakovski), of Montreal, and we asked him to take an interest in everything concerning the Machaneh Israel*, advising him to consult with you on this matter. However, we have the feeling that the Machaneh Israel*, in order to achieve success, must have a single direction. You will therefore confer with him and organize the action in the best manner.

F) We have already specified, in our previous correspondence, that the shipment of the Conversations with the Youth will be organized, with the help of Hashem.

G) We have already cautioned you against any reproduction, in the Chaver (note 6: A children's newspaper published by the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* Lubavitch of Montreal. See, regarding it, letter no. 24), of articles that appeared, in the same month, in the Conversations with the Youth. We are therefore surprised that you have, once again, printed in the Chaver of Tishrei* articles appearing in the Conversations of the same month. We emphasize once more that you are not authorized to proceed in this manner and we hope that you will adhere to this in the future.

H) We have published a Hebrew alphabet. Its price is ten cents and we are sending you a copy. With our blessing for a joyous festival (note 7: Of Sukkos*), for immediate Teshuvah* and immediate redemption.

משום קוצר הזמן הננו לענות לו יחד על מכתביו ל"מחנה ישראל"

ולמל"ח - ממוצש"ק האזינו ומעריו"כ.

א) בענין משלוח הקריאה והקדושה, ניכר מפי העוסקים בזה כי לא חבילות אבדו, והבטיחו לשלוח שם את כל המבוקש במוקדם האפשרי.

ב) מאשרים אנו פה קבלת העשרה דולרים קנדיים מכס, ע"י הרצ"פ שי'.

ג) בהתאם לתקנות החדשות ע"ד משלח עניני דפוס מעבר לים, חוששים אנו פן יכבד משלח דברים כאלה גם לקנדה ולכן עצתנו שתזמינו תיכף את כל עניני דפוס שהוצאנו בכמות הכי גדולה אשר מוצאים אתהם שתהי' נחוץ לכם במשך הזמן.

ד) נא להודיענו כמה חוברות "ממגילת י"ט כסלו" לשלוח לכם באידיש וכמה באנגלית.

ה) הננו להודיעו, בתור לבא-כח הראשי שלמחנה ישראל בקנדה, כי מדרכי שלום כתבנו אתמול ביחוד לשו"ב קאראקאווסקי שי' במאנטרעאל, ובקשנוהו להתעניין בענינים של מחנה ישראל, ושיתדבר בזה עם כמ"ע.

אבל מרגישים אנו כי לטובת הענין הוא שכל הדברים של מחנה ישראל יעשו תחת הנהלה אחת, ולכן יואיל נא להתדבר עם הנ"ל ולסדר בע"ה את העבודה בכי טוב.

ו) ע"ד משלח השמועסן כתבנו כבר במכתנו הקודם כי יסודר אי"ה.

ז) תמהים אנו שגם אחר התראתנו, שלא להדפיס בחבר שום חומר מהשמועסן שבאותו החודש עצמו, הנה שום הדפסתם ב"חבר" מתשרי חומר מהשמועסן מתשרי.

לכן הננו להודיעכם שוב, כי אין לכם הרשות לעשות כדבר הזה, ומקווים אנו כי להבא תזהרו בזה.

ח) הוצאנו לאור "אלף, בית", מחירו 10- סענט, ושלחנו לכם דוגמא.
