The (note 1: The beginning of this letter has not reached us, but based on its content, one can think that it was written during the summer of 5703 (1943). It is possible that it was addressed to one of the leaders of the Kollel Chabad*) HaYom Yom* collection has surely reached you and you will therefore communicate to me your opinion about it. You will tell me what should be modified or corrected for next year's edition (note 2: It was initially envisaged that the HaYom Yom* would be published annually. In practice, there was only one edition, that of the year 5703). Furthermore, I would be grateful if you could inform me of what was done, in its time, for the immigration certificate intended for my parents (note 3: Certifying their settlement in the Holy Land. This document was to enable them to leave Russia. However, the Rebbe's father passed away one year later, on 20 Av* 5704 (1944)), to whom Hashem will grant long days and good years. What is the current situation in this matter? With my blessing of immediate Teshuvah* and immediate redemption,
