To the attention of the great Rav, distinguished Chassid*
who fears Hashem, Rav A. E. (note 1: Rav Avraham Eliyahu Axelrod. See, regarding him, letters no. 870 and 7833),
I greet you and bless you,
You tell me that I introduce an interpretation of a verse that is difficult to accept by applying the expression: "holy convocation" to Shabbos* (note 2: In letter no. 229 of 6 Iyar* 5706 (1946), which explained why one inserts, in the Kiddush* of Shabbos*, the expression: "with love"). Your objections are not addressed to me, for I specified, in my previous letter, that this interpretation is, in particular, that of the Levush* and the Mateh Menasheh*. My purpose was solely to elucidate their words. I wish you all the best and I send you my blessing of immediate Teshuvah* and immediate redemption.
