To the attention of the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Y. Lipsker (note 1: Rav Yaakov Lipsker, of Paris. See, regarding him, letter no. 253 and the preceding letter),

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter. I have verified whether your correspondence reached my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, and it appears that for the time being, this is not the case. What was the result of your visit to the consul? You have surely already had a stamp made bearing the inscription: "Gift of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch* and the Machaneh*." You will kindly lend it to Rav Sh. Z. Butman (note 2: See the preceding letter).

No doubt you will give me news of the Beis Rivkah*, in particular, and of the Chassidim*, in general. Wishing you all the best,
