Festival of the Liberation 5708 (note 1: Of 19 Kislev* 1947),

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to

communal needs, Rav Sh. M. (note 2: Rav Shalom Mendel Kalmenson, of Prague. See, regarding him, letter no. 7805),

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter and I have already transmitted what it contained:

A) You will kindly convey to Rav D. Bravman (note 3: Rav David Bravman, director of publications. See, regarding him, the preceding letter) that he must hasten the printing and endeavor that we finally receive here some of these publications.

B) If he has not yet found a title page for the Shaarei Orah*, he will take that of the Ateres Rosh* or of the Shaar HaEmunah*.

C) He has surely already received all the instructions relative to the edition of the Shulchan Aruch* of the Alter Rebbe*, which I transmitted to him through the intermediary of Rav B. Gorodetski (note 4: Rav Binyamin Gorodetski. See letter no. 7815).

D) Let him proceed with the publication of the Torah Ohr* and the Likkutei Torah* and, for the latter work, let him use the corrected version. I will send him, in some time, instructions for the title page and for the introductions.

E) Regarding the girls' school (note 5: Of Prague, directed by Rav Kalmenson. See the preceding letter), I see no reason justifying the change of its name, Beis Sarah, or of its direction. Whoever understands the importance of such a school and has the possibility of helping it has the obligation, the duty to do so. Of course, no one can permit himself, because of foolishness related to political parties, to destroy with his own hands a constructive institution that was built by others, nor even to invest forces and funds in a competing institution that is not needed at all.

F) I am enclosing a booklet that has just been printed. You will kindly confirm having received it. No doubt you will make it available to the greatest number. Furthermore, I ask you to convey as quickly as possible the letter of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, to Poking (note 6: Refugee camp in Germany where many Chassidim* were located). With my blessing, on the occasion of the Festival of the Liberation (note 7: Of 19 Kislev*), and greeting all of yours,

א) מטובו למסור להר"ד שי' בראוומאן לזרז ענין ההדפסה, ולהשתדל שיגיעו סו"ס לכאן ג"כ מהנדפסים.

ב) השער ל"שערי אורה" אם עדיין לא נמצא, יקח אותו של עטרת ראש או של "שער האמונה".

ג) בטח קיבל כבר הנ"ל כל ההוראות ע"ד הדפסת שו"ע רבנו הזקן שמסרתי ע"י הרר"ב שי' גאראדעצקי.

ד) יגש הנ"ל להדפסת התורה אור והלקו"ת (ויקח הוצאה המוגהת דהלקו"ת).

הוראות ע"ד השער והקדמות אשלח בעוד איזה זמן.

ה) בנוגע לביה"ס לנערות, הנה איני רואה שום טעם צודק לשינוי השם של "בית שרה", או שינוי ההנלה, אלא כל מי שמכיר בנחיצות של בי"ס כזה ויש בידו היכולת לעזר - חובת מצוה עליו לבוא לעזר. ומכ"ש שאין הרשות למי שהוא משום שטויות המפלגתיות לסתר בידים מוסד טוב שבנו אחרים או גם להשקיע כחות וממון למוסד מקביל במקום שאין שאין צורך בו.

וא"ו) מוסג"פ קונטרס שהביאו זה עתה מביה"ד ומטובו לאשר קבלתו. ובטח יזכה בו את הרבים.

מטובו להמציא מכ' כ"ק מו"ח אד"ש המוסג"פ לפאקינג בהקדם.
