To the attention of the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Sh. Ch. Kasselman (note 2: Rav Shlomo Chaim Kasselman, of Paris, who subsequently became the spiritual guide of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Lod. See, regarding him, letter no. 7816),

I greet you and bless you,

In response to your letter, which was written with a little bitterness, we have sent, in your name and for the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, in accordance with your request, a set of the Tzemach Tzedek*, the Toras Shalom*, three copies of the Derech Mitzvosecha*, with its additions, five Sefer HaMaamarim* Yiddish, five Kuntres Limud HaChassidus*, five copies of the Chassidic* discourse entitled: "You all stand this day," five Siddurim* of Rostov, the second collection of letters (note 3: Thematic letters of the Rebbe Rayatz*). On the other hand, we did not send the series of Chassidic* discourses, for we sent you, by airmail, each discourse upon its publication, so that it could be reproduced in your city. If you have not yet received all of this, you will no doubt have it in the coming days and you will then acknowledge its receipt. I am also enclosing the booklet that appeared for this 19 Kislev*. (את ההמשך לא שלחנו, כי שלחנו באוירון מכל מאמר סמוך לפרסומו ע"מ שיעתיקוהו במחנכם). ואם עדיין לא נתקבל כהנ"ל, בודאי יתקבל ימים אלו, ובטח יאשר אז.
