To my close relative, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Sh. Z. (note 1: Rav Shneur Zalman Butman. See, regarding him, letter no. 7812),

I greet you and bless you,

I received your letters in their time. You will kindly transmit the books that are still in your possession to the committee of the branches of the school Beis Rivkah* and the printing needs (note 2: See letter no. 7815) and you will entrust the proceeds of their sale to Rav B. G. (note 3: Rav Binyamin Gorodetski. See, regarding him, letter no. 7815). You will also settle my participation in the charity fund (note 4: It refers to the debt mentioned in letter no. 352). Furthermore, I have requested that the memoirs (note 5: Of the Rebbe Rayatz*) be sent to you, in accordance with your request.

You write to me that your feet were hurting, on several occasions, and I hope that you are now completely healed. Perhaps it would have been necessary to put into practice the words of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, in the most literal sense, without seeking to interpret them, to meditate at length, and to ask for advice. This is what one can deduce from the first chapter of Iggeres HaKodesh* and from the Likkutei Torah*, in the Chassidic* discourse entitled: "He will revive us after two days," at the beginning of chapter 3. These texts, indeed, compare faith to the feet.

I am very busy with numerous tasks and various troubles. You will therefore excuse me for the brevity of my letters and you will surely grant me mitigating circumstances. I am sending you the study guide (note 6: Of the daily study of the Tanya*, instituted by the Rebbe Rayatz*) that has just appeared. I conclude by greeting all of yours, as well as all your relatives, in particular those who pray in the house of study and its leaders,

מכתביו בעתם קבלתי, הספרים שנשארו עדיין אצלו מטובו למסרם לועד הסניפי לב"ר והדפסה, והמעות שקיבל ממכירתם להרב"ג שי' וכן תשלום הגמ"ח שלי.

ספר הזכרונות צויתי לשלוח לו כבקשתו, ובטח יאשר קבלתו.

מה שכתב שהי' חולה ברגליו זה איזה פעמים (ותקותי שכבר נתרפא כליל לעת הזאת), אולי צריך הי' לקיים דברי כ"ק מו"ח אדמ"ר שליט"א בפשיטות מבלי להכנס בחשבונות, באריכות ההתבוננות ושאילות עצות בזה. והוא עפמ"ש באגה"ק ס"א ובלקו"ת ד"ה יחיינו מיומים רפ"ג דהאמונה הוא בחי' רגלים.

עמוס הנני עבודה וטרדות רבות, ואתו הסליחה על קיצורי במכתבים ובטח ידינני לכף זכות.
