Rav Sh. Ch. (note 1: Rav Shlomo Chaim Kasselman, of Paris, who subsequently became the spiritual guide of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* Lubavitch of Lod. See, regarding him, letter no. 7816),

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of 28 Nissan*. If the booklet of Pesach* was not sent in your name, it is presumably because you did not acknowledge receipt of the previous ones. As a result, there was reason to wonder whether this address was correct. I am therefore enclosing the booklet of Lag BaOmer*. Without a doubt, you will make it available to the greatest number. You will tell me what has been organized in this matter and this will give satisfaction to my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*.

Is the problem of Shifrin resolved? I learned recently that he spent several years in Lubavitch or, in any event, that he went there. It would be particularly wise for him to write down (note 2: See, on this subject, letters no. 373, 7829, and 7831) what he clearly remembers of the holy talks that do not appear in the Toras Shalom* and to send them here. Indeed, I have good hope that eventually, the additions to the Toras Shalom* (note 3: See, on this subject, letter no. 262) will finally be published. In this way, he will confer a merit on the greatest number. Regarding the letters of the Sefer Torah* (note 4: Written to go toward the arrival of Moshiach*. See, on this subject, letters no. 355 and 7777), you will inform the committee that is charged with it, after organizing a meeting. Greeting all of yours,

זה לא מכבר נודעתי, שהי' כו"כ שנים בליובאוויטש, או נסע לשם. ומהנכון ביותר שירשום מה שזוכר ברור משיחות הק' ממה שלא נכנס בתורת שלום וישלח לכאן. כי תקותי, שבמשך הזמן, סו"ס ידפיסו מילואים לתו"ש ויזכה עי"ז את הרבים.
