To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav N. N. (note 1: Rav Nissan Nemanov. See, regarding him, letter no. 7809),

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received the Shekalim* of Rav B. G. (note 2: Rav Binyamin Gorodetski, director of the refugee aid office, of Paris). On the other hand, I did not receive the letter of 23 Iyar*, which you mention. The last ones I received are those of 10 and 28 Iyar*. I am enclosing the booklet of the festival of Shavuos*, as well as a letter addressed to all, with its translation into Yiddish*. It is a Mitzvah* to disseminate it widely and perhaps even to have its translation published in a periodical. Of course, we will cover the resulting expenses, if they are reasonable. The HaYom Yom* was sent to you separately, in accordance with your request.

I have just received your letter, transmitted by Rav D. (note 3: Rav David Bravman, director of publications). Nine hundred are for printing expenses, that is, eight hundred fifty from the young men and fifty from the Maamad*. Here, I transmitted, in exchange, fifty to the Maamad*. But you may give him another thousand. Indeed, I vouch for it. Wishing you to receive the Torah* with joy, you yourself and all those around you,

זה עתה נתקבל מכתבו שמסר להר"ד תת"ק על ההדפסה, תת"ן שקבל מהאברכים ונו"ן מנפנה, והכנסתי כאן לנפנה נו"ן תמורתם, ויוכל ליתן להנ"ל עוד אל"ף, ואני אחראי.
