You will kindly transmit to the Chassidim*, in all their settlements, that there was an omission in the collection of customs (note 2: Of Rosh Hashanah*) and that the apple must be consumed at the beginning of the meal (note 3: Until then, the apple dipped in honey was taken after Kiddush*, before washing the hands to begin the meal. See the Kovetz Hearos U'Biurim, Ohalei Torah, no. 640, at page 16). Good year,
