By the grace of Hashem,

To the great Rav, distinguished and pleasant Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Meir (note 1: Rav M. Ashkenazi. See, regarding him, letter no. 239),

I greet you and bless you,

I learned, with sorrow, that you are discouraged (note 2: As a result of health problems), as are the members of your family. Place therefore your trust in Hashem, Who heals all flesh and performs wonders! Everything will be well and He will send you a speedy recovery. Our leader, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, may he rest in peace, will elicit, for you and yours, blessing and success. You and your wife, the Rebbetzin*, will derive much satisfaction from your children, for many years, good and pleasant. With my blessing and greeting all of yours,
