I received your letter in its time and this man did indeed transmit your book to me. I thank you very much for this gift. It would be good to lift his spirits and you will therefore explain to him that there is no reason to be angry at the entire world and at Hashem Himself, which may Hashem prevent. It is good to serve Hashem with joy, as a servant and not as a wise prince (note 2: Through submission rather than through intellectual assent). In this way, he will ultimately reveal the joy in his soul. You will read Psalm 71 (note 3: According to the number of years of the Rebbe Rayatz*), until 12 Tammuz* (note 4: The date on which the Rebbe Rayatz* would have been seventy-one years old, the counting of years continuing also after physical passing. See, on this subject, letters no. 858 and 863).
