To the Rav, distinguished and pleasant Chassid* who fears Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, in their time, all your letters and all your requests for blessing. At a propitious moment, I read them near the tomb (note 3: Of the Previous Rebbe). No doubt you will be answered, for the good and for blessing, materially and spiritually. You will give me good news on this matter.

You are right to say that I must respond to all the letters and questions as quickly as possible. But what can I do? My occupations are ever more numerous, the most general as well as the most specific. Furthermore, I respond to various questions in the letters addressed to all, which are enclosed with the booklets or serve as their forewords. As for the rest, without a doubt, Hashem will ultimately grant His help.
