To the Rav, Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Z. C. [1],

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 24 Tishrei, in which you speak to me of your trip to Dublin [2]. You ask me whether you should go there now. Indeed, you cannot do so freely, insofar as you are teaching at the Yeshiva Lubavitch of Brunoy [3].

I have already said several times that the Chassidim and those who are attached to the Rebbe can resolve the doubt they face by consulting the letters that my father-in-law the Rebbe addressed to them previously. This is indeed the case for what concerns you.

Indeed, here are the terms of my father-in-law the Rebbe's letter that you reproduce in your letter: "You must accept the proposal of my friend and shliach, Rav Binyamin Gorodetzki, that of accompanying the shochtim* to Ireland. You will be able to arrange, with Hashem's help, that during the duration of your absence from Paris, someone will be able to replace you at the Yeshiva. Hashem will grant you success."

You therefore have a particularly clear response to your question, and I do not understand the doubt that it reveals.

May Hashem grant that the blessing of my father-in-law the Rebbe be completely fulfilled, and that you have success, for this trip and for all your other concerns, material and spiritual.

In general, with the friends who accompany you, you must not see in this trip solely the means of earning your living. It is above all the opportunity to spread Chassidut* in this country and in the neighboring countries, including those to which the meat you have made kosher will reach.

You have the possibility of accomplishing all this. May your heart therefore be whole, and may your will be in accordance with this objective, so that it is also the profound expression of your neshamah elokis*.

במענה על מכתבו מכ"ד תשרי, בו מספר פרשת הדברים ע"ד נסיעתו לדובלין ושואל דעתי, אם יסע עתה לשם, באשר אינו עומד ברשות עצמו להחליט בזה, בהיותו על משרה בישיבת תומכי תמימים בברונאי.

הנה זה מכבר כתבתי שכמה וכמה מאנ"ש והמקושרים שי' יכולים למצוא מענה על ספיקות שלהם המתעוררים עתה אם יעיינו במכתבי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שכתב להם מאז. גם בנידון דיד' כן הוא, שזה לשון מכתב כ"ק מו"ח שמעתיק הוא עצמו במכתבו אלי עתה: "יסכים להצעת ידידי בא כוחי בסידור הפליטים הרב ר' בנימין שי' גאראדעצקי לנסוע יחד עם השו"בים יחי' לאירלאנד, ובודאי יסדרו בעזרתו ית' שלמשך הזמן שלא יהי' בפאריז יהי' בתו"ת ממלא מקומו מתאים, והשי"ת יצליחו". הרי לו מענה ברור ביותר בזה ואיני רואה כל מקום לספק בשאלתו זו.

ויהי רצון שתקויים ברכת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ במילואה, והשי"ת יצליחו בנסיעתו זו ובשאר עיניו בגשמיות וברוחניות.

ובכלל צריך להביט על הנסיעה לאירלאנד, הוא וגם חבריו בנסיעה זו שי', לא רק כעל ענין של פרנסה גשמיית, אלא כעל אמצעי דרך להפצת תורת הדא"ח גם במדינה הנ"ל וסביבותי' וגם בהמקומות שלשם יגיע הבשר המוכשר על ידם. והיכולת על זה ישנה בידם ומי יתן והי' לבבם שלם שיעשו גם רצונם מכוון לתכלית זו אשר אז יהי' מכוון ג"כ לחפצם הפנימי דנפש האלקית שלהם.
