By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your question, which was posed to me through the intermediary of the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself faithfully to communal needs, Rav Shlomo Zalman Hecht. You wish to have the certainty that after one hundred twenty years, the Kaddish* will be recited and the Mishnah* will be studied for you. If you so wish, it is indeed possible to do so, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt. I do not know the exact cost, but it should be three hundred or four hundred Shekels* of the United States (note 1: Dollars).

Nevertheless, you know, above all, the saying (note 2: See the Igros Kodesh* of the Previous Rebbe, volume 8, letters no. 2156 and 2335) of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, according to which, as long as one possesses life, it is preferable to concern oneself with what is living. I therefore propose that you have long days, good and long years, filled with Torah* and Mitzvos*, with tranquility of mind and tranquility of body. You will commit to having published a collection of talks of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. At the beginning of this book, your name and that of your wife will be noted. In this way, you and she will receive a share of all the studies that will be done with this work. And the merit of the public will depend on you. It will grant you long days and pleasant years.

I am enclosing the booklet published for Lag BaOmer*. You will study it and learn the sayings it contains. I send you my blessing that you may have long days and good years, together with your wife, in tranquility and in abundance,

ע"י הרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א עוסק בצרכי צבור באמונה וכו' וכו' מוה"ר שלמה זלמן שי' העכט קבלתי את שאלתו, אשר חפץ הוא לסדר אשר לאחר מאה ועשרים שנה יהי' בטוח באמירת קדיש ולימוד משניות:

והנה אם רצונו הוא בזה, אפשר לסדר זה אשר לאחר מאה ועשרים שנה יאמרו קדיש וילמדו משניות באה"ק ת"ו (את המחיר אינני יודע בדיוק, אבל הוא בערך 300 -400 שקל ארצוה"ב).

אבל בעיקר הדבר, הנה ידוע הוא פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, אז עס איז גלייכער צו טאן מיט לעבעדיקע זאכן ביים לעבן, ולכן הצעתי שיאריך ימים ושנים טובות וארוכות היינו ממולאים מתורה ומצות מתוך מנוחת הנפש ומנוחת הגוף,

ויקח על עצמו הדפסת ספר משיחות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וידפסו בראש הספר את שמו ושם זוגתו תחי' וכל שילמוד בספר הזה, הנה יהי' לו ולזוגתו תחי' השתתפות בלימודו, וזכות הרבים תלוי בהם להאריך ימיהם ושנותיהם בנעימים.
