I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of 22 Shevat* and, by an effect of Divine Providence, it reached me on the eve of Rosh Chodesh* Adar*, a few hours before I went to the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. I therefore read your letter there and, without a doubt, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, will invoke great mercy for yourself and for the points that you mention therein. For, "the righteous decrees and the Holy One, blessed be He, confirms," in particular one who has left this world and of whom it is said, in the Zohar*, that he is present in all worlds, more than during his lifetime. Moreover, you yourself have had the merit of receiving the blessing of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

It is quite evident that, to absorb and strengthen the blessings of Hashem, Who grants them willingly, from His full and generous hand, a man must forge large receptacles, commensurate with such a result. This is no doubt what you will do. You will put into practice the directives of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, if you received them directly. Likewise, you will endeavor to maintain the studies that concern everyone and that were established by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, that is to say, Tehillim* according to the monthly division, every day, after the morning prayer, a passage of the Chumash* with the commentary of Rashi*, of the Sidrah* of the week, and a passage of the Tanya*, according to its annual division.

Your activity is in the domain of construction and, regarding current events, one knows the teaching of our Sages, at the end of tractate Taanis*, according to which: "when Adar* begins, one increases one's joy." You will therefore consult this passage, which deals with joyous constructions. May Hashem grant that your constructions also reveal the joy in your home, both materially and spiritually. קבלתי מכתבו מכ"ב שבט, ובהשגחה פרטית הנה נתקבל בער"ח אדר איזה שעות לפני נסעי על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וקראתי מכ' על הציון הק' ובטח יעורר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ר"ר עליו על הענינים שמזכיר במכתבו אודותם, וצדיק גוזר והקב"ה מקיים ובפרט צדיקא דאתפטר דאיתא ע"ז בזהר דאשתכח בכולהו עלמין יתיר מבחיוהי, וביחוד כיון שכ' זכה לקבל ברכה מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר.

מובן ופשוט אשר לקבלת והחזקת ברכות השי"ת הנותן ברכתו בחפץ ומידו המלאה והרחבה, צריך האדם לעשות כלים רחבים מתאימים לזה, אשר לכן בטח גם כבודו יעשה כזה, היינו שיקיים אחרי הוראות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - אם קיבל הוראות כאלו, וכן ישתדל בקיום השיעורים השוים לכל נפש מתקנת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר והם א) שיעור תהלים (כפי שנחלק לימי החדש) בכל יום אחרי תפלת שחרית, ב) לימוד פרשה חומש עם פירוש רש"י מהסדרה של השבוע, ג) שיעור תניא כפי שנחלק לימי השנה.

וכיון שמתעסק הוא בעניני בנין, ובעניניא דיומא נודע מרז"ל (סוף תענית) משנכנס אדר מרבין בשמחה, ויעוין שם בסוגיא המדובר בבנינים של שמחה, ויה"ר אשר ג"כ בניניו ימשיכו שמחה במעונו בגשמיות וברוחניות.
