To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Shlomo Chaim (note 1: Rav Shlomo Chaim Kasselman, of Lod. See, regarding him, letter no. 7816),

I greet you and bless you,

A) I duly received your request for blessing. Being, on the eve of Rosh Chodesh* Nissan* (note 2: On the occasion of the "little Yom Kippur*"), near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, I read it there and, without a doubt, he himself will invoke great mercy for all those who are mentioned therein, so that they obtain the satisfaction of their needs.

B) You have surely already received the booklet of 2 Nissan* (note 3: Date of the Hilloula* of the Rebbe Rashab*), through the intermediary of the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, as well as my greetings. I await your good news, in all domains.

C) I enclose a copy of my letter, which I addressed to all, on the occasion of the festival of Pesach*, which approaches. No doubt you will disseminate it, in the appropriate manner.

D) A very last point, but which is essential, I repeat a second and a third time that you must organize your communal and personal activities in such a way that you can go to the Yeshivah* Toras Emes, in Yerushalayim*, may it be restored and rebuilt, once a week or every two weeks, in order to expound and teach Chassidus* there, in a manner suitable for the young men and the students. From time to time, you will test them and you will hold Chassidic* gatherings with them. Of course, you will not do this every time you go there, but approximately once a month.

I have written, on this matter, to the Yeshivah* Toras Emes and I have good hope that this proposal will be accepted. I rely on your understanding so that this does not have the effect of discouraging the spiritual guide of the Yeshivah* Toras Emes and so that his prestige (note 4: In French in the original text) is not diminished among the young men and the students. You will surely be able to explain that you are a new face, which, very often, has more effect. I spoke about this to this Chassid*, when he was here. I also rely on you to organize all of this in such a way that there be no obstacle from the administration of the Yeshivah*, in Lod.

All of this is a proposal that I had formulated some time ago. After the students have completed their schooling, insofar as one can use this expression when it concerns the study of the Torah*, their ambition must still remain tied to Chassidus*, to progress in its study. For that, one must join the Yeshivah* of Lod. Your visit, from time to time, to the Yeshivah* Toras Emes, will therefore also be a preparation for that. I await good news of this and you will tell me, above all, that this new arrangement has indeed been put in place in a peaceful manner, so that "brothers dwell together." With my blessing for success in instilling a spirit of fear of Hashem, in the period of the "food of faith" (note 5: The Matzah* of the first night of Pesach*) and the "food of healing" (note 6: The Matzah* of the second night of Pesach*), upon all your students,

א) קבלתי הפ"נ שלו, וכשהייתי בער"ח ניסן על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע קראתיו, ובטח יעורר ר"ר על כל הנזכרים בכתבו זה בהמצטרך להם.

ב) בטח קבל כבר הקונטרס לב' ניסן ע"י הרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ וכו'... ביחד עם הפ"ש וכו', ואחכה לבשו"ט ממנו בכל הענינים.

ג) מוסג"פ העתק מכתבי כללי לחגה"פ הבע"ל אשר בטח יפרסמו באופן המתאים.

ד) אחרון אחרון עיקר בקשתי כפולה ומשולשת, אשר כהד"ג שי' יסדר עניניו הכללים והפרטים באופן כזה שיוכל לנסוע לישיבת תורת אמת בירושלים ת"ו אחת לשבוע או לשבועיים כדי לדבר וללמוד דא"ח באופן המתאים עם האברכים והבחורים ולבחנם מזמן לזמן וכן להתועד אתם - כמובן לא בכל עת בואו לשם, אלא אחת לחודש לערך.

כתבתי עד"ז ג"כ לישיבת תורת אמת, ותקותי חזקה שיסכימו ע"ז.

ואל בינת כת"ר אשען שיסדר הדבר באופן כזה שלא יגרום נפילת רוח דמשפיע דא"ח דתו"א או לנמיכות הפרעסטיזש דהנ"ל בעיני האברכים והבחורים כו' וכו'. בטח יוכל להסביר, אשר כיון שהוא פנים חדשות, הרי לפעמים תכופות חידושא איידי דחביבא פועל יותר כו' וכו'.

דברתי עד"ז עם הרה"ח וכו'... שי' בהיותו כאן, ועל כת"ר והרה"ח... הנני סומך שיסדרו הדברים באופן כזה שלא תהי' מניעה בזה ג"כ מהנהלת ישיבת לוד.

וכל הנ"ל מתאים ג"כ להצעתי זה מכבר, אשר לאחר שגמרו התלמידים (אם באפשר לומר גמר בלימוד התורה), שאיפתם צריכה להיות בנוגע ללימוד דא"ח, לשגשג בלימוד זה ע"י הכנסתם להישיבה דלוד, ולכן בתור הכנה לזה יהי' ג"כ בקורו של כת"ר מפרק לפרק בישיבת תורת אמת.

ואחכה לבשו"ט מסידור ענין זה, והעיקר שיהי' בדרך השלום ובאופן דשבת אחים גם יחד.

בברכת הצלחה בהשפעת רוח דיראת שמים בזמן דמיכלא ד[מ]הימנותא ומיכלא דאסוותא לכל המושפעים שלו.
