To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and

devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Eliezer (note 1: Rav E. Karasik. See, regarding him, letter no. 7785),

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letters of 13 and 15 Iyar*. I thank you for them. Regarding the non-affiliated stream (note 2: Of the educational networks in Eretz Yisrael*), I transmitted an oral message to your brother-in-law, the Chassid*, Rav M. G. (note 3: Rav Moshe Gurary). Furthermore, I was pleased to read, in this letter, that the elderly man, Rav Zalman Katz, has already settled in his apartment (note 4: See, on this matter, letter no. 7906). May Hashem grant that you tell me good news, always and every day. I sent you, today, a telegram regarding the burial (note 5: Of the Rebbe's brother, Rav Yisrael Aryeh Leib. See, on this subject, letter no. 1566). I await a detailed letter describing what has been done in this regard, and may Hashem grant that we have recourse to one another for joyous occasions, always and every day.

Being yesterday near the tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, I mentioned your name and that of your wife, so that you may have good health and all good, material and spiritual. I await your good news on this matter, as well as on what is happening with your son-in-law, the Chassid*, Rav Nathan (note 6: Rav Nathan Gurary, son of Rav Moshe Gurary). Indeed, I am somewhat worried. He had written to me a few weeks ago and, since then, I have had no news from him. May Hashem grant that there be only visible and tangible good therein. With my blessing for good health, for you and your wife, awaiting your good news,

בת"ח קבלתי מכתביו מי"ג וט"ו אייר, ובנוגע להזרם הבלתי זרמי, הנה מסרתי בע"פ ע"י גיסו הרה"ח וכו' הרמ"ג שי'

... נהניתי לקרות במכ' אשר הזקן ר' זלמן שי' כ"ץ כבר נכנס לדירתו, והשי"ת יזכהו לבשר טובות תכה"י.

שלחתי לכת"ר שי' היום, מברק ע"ד ההלוי', ואחכה למכתב מפורט מהנעשה בזה, והשי"ת יעזור לנו, אז מיר זאלן אויסניצן אחד את חברו אויף גוטע פרייליכע זאכן תכה"י.

בהיותי אתמול על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הזכרתי אותו ואת זוגתו שיחיו לבריאות הנכונה ולכל טוב בגו"ר, ואחכה ממנו לבשו"ט בזה. וכן מהנעשה עם חתנו הרה"ח מוה"ר נתן שי' שהנני דואג במקצת, שאחר המכתב שכתב לי זה איזה שבועות, לא הגיעני כל ידיעה ממנו. ויה"ר שיהי' הכל טוב בטוב הנראה ונגלה.

בברכה לבריאות הנכונה לו ולזוג' שיחיו המחכה לבשו"ט.
