By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Meir,
I greet you and bless you,
You are no doubt endeavoring to influence those around you, to draw them closer to the ways of Chassidus* and its practices. And, one knows what my father-in-law, the Rebbe (note 1: See the Igros Kodesh* of the Rebbe Rayatz*, volume 3, letter no. 784), related, a teaching of the Alter Rebbe* showing the immense satisfaction that is caused on High when one seeks the good of one's fellow. Now, if this is so for material good, how much more is it the case for spiritual good, which leads to both this world and the World to Come (note 2: See the Hayom Yom*, at the date of 3 Adar Rishon*). Indeed, in a Jew, these two dimensions are linked and even unified, to the point of forming but one single entity. With my blessing,

... בטח משתדל הוא להשפיע גם על סביבתו לקרבם לדרכי החסידות ומנהגי', וידוע מה שסיפר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר מאמר רבינו הזקן בגודל הנח"ר למעלה כשמשתדלים בטובת רעהו,וא"כ הוא כשמשתדלים בטובת רעהו בגשמיות, הרי עאכו"כ כשמשתדלים בטובת רעהו ברוחניות, שעי"ז מביאו לחיי העוה"ז והעוה"ב, כי באיש הישראלי הרי מקושרים הם זה בזה ומאוחדים זה בזה עד שנעשו כדבר אחד.
