I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of 16 Tammuz*, announcing good news to me, the improvement of the state of health of your son-in-law, Rav Yitzchak (note 2: Rav I. Gansburg), who has already returned home. The same is true of your own state of health. I thank you very much for having written to me, at least briefly, to describe the auspicious days of the liberation, 12 and 13 Tammuz*. I am also grateful for the note that concluded your letter. May Hashem grant that in the future, you announce to me only good, always and every day, in your communal activities as in your personal concerns.

I am somewhat pained not to have found a word, in your letter, about the activities of the youth of the Chabad* association. It seems that the opportunity offered by this festival was not seized. That is a pity. As a sign of gratitude for the pleasure you caused me, knowing that "one Mitzvah* draws another," I enclose a note that was published for 12 and 13 Tammuz*. You will make it available to as many people as possible, for the merit of all depends on it. With my blessing for good health,

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מט"ז תמוז בבשורה טוב ע"ד הטבת בריאות חתנו מוה"ר יצחק שי' ואשר כבר בא לביתו וכן בנוגע לבריאותו הוא, ות"ח ת"ח ביחוד בעד הכתיבה, עכ"פ בקיצור, מהנעשה בימי חג הגאולה והסגולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז, ובעד הרשימה שבסוף מכתבו, כן יזכהו השי"ת בעתיד לבשר אך טוב תכה"י בענינים הכללים והפרטיים.

מצערני במקצת, שלא בא במכ' זכרון פעולות צעירי אגו"ח אשר כנראה לא נצלו ההזדמנות דחגיגה הנ"ל וחבל על זה.

לאות הכרת תודה על הקורת רוח שגרם לי, הנה מצוה גוררת מצוה, ומוסג"פ הרשימה שהו"ל לימי י"ב וי"ג תמוז, והוא לזכות בה את הרבים וזכות הרבים תלוי בו.
