I (note 1: This letter is addressed to Rav Yechiel Michel Yehuda Leib Zalmanov. See, regarding him, letters no. 5416, 8003, 8029, and 8091) have just received your letter of 16 Shevat*. May Hashem grant that you obtain all the authorizations and all the documents necessary for your trip (note 2: Rav Zalmanov had been designated by a drawing of lots to visit the Rebbe. See, on this subject, letter no. 8003), that it take place in a fitting manner, at a good and fruitful moment, and that it be easy. It is no doubt unnecessary to remind you that before this trip, you will visit all the Chabad* institutions of the Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt. And, it would be advisable, from the first day of your trip here, to give, each weekday, without making a vow of it, a coin to Tzedakah*. Likewise, you will add, each day as well, an additional Psalm, beyond those that one should read (note 3: According to their monthly distribution). May Hashem grant you success in all domains. זה עתה נתקבל מכתבו מט"ז שבט. ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר יקבל את כל הרשיונות והניירות הנחוצים לנסיעתו, והנסיעה תהי' בעתה ובזמנה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ובקל.
ובטח למותר להעירו, אשר טרם נסעו יבקר בכל המוסדות דחב"ד באה"ק ת"ו. ומה טוב שמיום צאתו להנסיעה הנה, בלי נדר יפריש בכל יום מימות החול פרוטה לצדקה וכן יוסיף קאפיטל אחד של תהלים על השיעור היומי. והשי"ת יצליחו בכל.
