The booklet Shaarei Chabad* (note 1: This is an inventory of the different editions of Chabad* works, published in the collection Alei Ayin, of 5712 (1952)), of which you are the author, has reached the Rebbe Shlita* and it is surprising that you did not see fit to send it to his library. The Rebbe Shlita* consulted it and he noted, in the margins, several remarks that I reproduce here for you. These will surely be useful to you. They are enumerated in the order of these works, with the numbers corresponding to them:

4 – This program has not yet been realized.

6 – Shemos*, Bo*. This book contains only Parshas* Shemos*. Vaeira* and Bo* are still in press.

9 – This is a reproduction of the Kapust edition.

13 – One finds there only the document of request, which has been published by comparison of two manuscripts, with a preface by the editor specifying that the author is the Admur HaEmtzai* and not his father, the Admur HaZaken*.

41-42 – The author of this note is Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Lubavitch*, whose merit will protect us. Nevertheless, he wished to publish it anonymously.

42 – This has also been published in Hebrew, with additions, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt.

47 – On page 307, line 11, the Gimmel Daled should be replaced by a Gimmel Chof Sofis. You will see, on this subject, the letter of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Lubavitch*, which is printed at the end of the notes on the Tanya*, on page 120.

52 – On page 310, line 16, the expression "eight pages" is a printing error.

55* – At the end: Igeres HaKodesh*. It seems that it should read: Igeres HaTeshuvah*.

82 – At the end: of the year 5660. Several points have been corrected here. For example, the word "chapter" has been removed at the beginning of each paragraph of Igeres HaKodesh*.

85 – It was printed in Germany, near Munich, and not in Brooklyn.

93 – Shemos*: some Parshiyos*. There is only one discourse on Parshas* Beshalach* and two on Parshas* Pekudei*. The commentaries of the book of Shemos*, with the exception of Parshas* Pekudei*, are found in the Torah Or*.

94 – The approbations pertain to the Likkutei Torah* and not to the additions.

98 – This edition was specifically corrected, according to the statements of the scholar, Rav Anshel Aronovitch, may Hashem avenge his blood (note 2: Who was murdered during the persecutions), who devoted himself to this task. There are practically three thousand errors that were corrected in this manner. And, the table of corrections is at the end of the work.

99 – The table of corrections is missing.

100 – Like 98 and not like 8.

102, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 108, 108 – All these pages are the reproduction of the manuscripts of Rav Shmuel the scribe, who is also called Rav Shmuel Schreiber (note 3: "Scribe" in Yiddish).

109 – One also finds there a collection of letters of the Admur HaZaken*, author of the Tanya*, of his son, the Admur HaEmtzai*, and of the sons of the Tzemach Tzedek*.

116 – It is still in press.

121 – page (6), 58, (4).

132-133 – This is an error. It refers to 131.

179-182 – Certain commentaries have been printed in one reference and not in the other. In general, there are differences between these Haggados*, from one to the other.

201 – On page 6a. This is a letter of the author of the Tanya*, which is printed in Igeres HaKodesh*, in chapter 27.

226 – With a foreword and a long list established by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Lubavitch*, whose merit will protect us.

229 – A reproduction arranged for the book of Shemos* is currently in the possession of Kehot Publications, which is preparing its publication.

230 – By mimeograph and not in reproduction.

236 – With two letters of his son, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Lubavitch*, whose merit will protect us.

251 – The author is Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Lubavitch*, whose merit will protect us.
