By the grace of Hashem,

To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and

devotes himself to communal needs, great scholar,

Rav Yitzchak Meir (note 1: Rav Y. M. Rappoport) HaCohen,

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received a copy of your halachic* ruling, with its explanations. In accordance with your request, I returned it to you and it has surely already reached you. Our Sages state that scholars increase peace in the world. May Hashem therefore grant that you know success in this accomplishment and that it be broad. In this way, the blessing that results from it will be great as well, in all the domains that are mentioned at the end of the Midrash* Esther Rabbah*.

I enclose a copy of the Chassidic* discourse that was delivered last year, on the occasion of the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us (note 2: The 10th of Shevat*). No doubt you will act generously in making it available to others. With my respects and my blessing,
