Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8009 — Health

Volume 21 · Letter 255

By the grace of Hashem,

16 Adar Sheini* 5714,

Brooklyn,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter, in which you speak to me of your work at the Talmud Torah* and of the Mesibos Shabbos* (note 1: The recreational Shabbos* afternoons). May Hashem grant that you continue to know success in this matter, that your activity develop, that your success be broader as well, together with the participation of all those who have the merit of lending their support to this sacred mission. At all times, this has been particularly important and how much more so is this the case in our generation, since we are survivors. Every practice that brings the hearts of the sons and daughters of Israel closer to our Father Who is in Heaven is therefore a particularly important accomplishment.

It is certain that Hashem keeps His promises, expressed in our holy Torah*, regarding such actions. He will, in particular, cause that you be able to give me good news of your daughter. The desire of her heart will be fulfilled (note 2: That of having a child). Without a doubt, she observes the laws of family purity. Hashem will therefore grant her children in good health, for long days and good years. I enclose a copy of my letter addressed to all women. You will surely transmit its content to your daughter. With my blessing for success,

M. Schneerson,
