To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Moshe (note 1: Rav M. Ashkenazi),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 22 Elul*, to which was attached a request for blessing, which I will read near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. Despite all that you have experienced, it is clear that you must not be discouraged, which Heaven forbid. It is certain that Hashem will fill what is lacking. Moreover, you will even know wealth, both spiritual and material, on condition that you forge the necessary receptacles for this, that is to say that you strengthen your commitment to the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, following the ways of nature. You will accomplish all of this in joy, which breaks barriers, removes limits and partitions.

For the time being, here is the object of the present letter. I would like to express to you my sincere and profound gratitude for the Sefer Torah* that was brought here, two days before Rosh Hashanah* (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 2966). The Torah* was read from it on Rosh Hashanah* and the Zohar*, volume 2, page 161b, states that, just as the Holy One blessed be He consulted the Torah* to create the world, a Jew creates his own world through the Torah*. Of course, this applies also to those who enable it to be so. May Hashem therefore grant that this new year bring you a new world, with a visible and tangible good, for yourself, for your wife, and for all your children. May Hashem grant that the pregnancy of your wife proceed well and be easy, that she have, in its time and easily, a child in good health. With my blessing that you be definitively inscribed for a good year,

שלום וברכה!

במענה על מכתבו מכ"ב אלול בצירוף ב' הפ"נ, אשר אקראם בעת רצון על הצין הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הנה למרות כל מה שעבר עליו, פשוט הדבר שאין צ"ל בנפילת רוח ח"ו. ובטוח השי"ת למלאות את החסר, ולא זה בלבד אלא שיהי' גם הענין דעשירות, הן ברוחניות והן בגשמיות, ובלבד שיעשו כלים המתאימים לזה, היינו הוספה בענינים דתורה ומצות ואחיזה בדרכי הטבע, ולעשות את כל זה מתוך שמחה, שהיא פורצת גדר ומסירה הגדרות והגבלות.

ועל של עתה באתי להביע תודתי רבה ועמוקה, על הס"ת שהובא כיומים לפני ר"ה, וקראו בה בראש השנה זה, וע"פ הזח"ב קסא, ב דכשם שהקב"ה אסתכל באורייתא וברא עלמא הרי כן הוא כביכול באיש הישראלי אשר על ידי התורה בורא עולמו, וגם הגורמים לזה בכלל, כמובן - הרי יה"ר שבשנה חדשה זו יראו עולמם חדש בטוב הנראה ונגלה בנוגע לעצמו, זוגתו וכל יו"ח - שיחיו.

והשי"ת ימלא ימי הריון זוגתו תחי' כשורה ובנקל ותלד זחו"ק בעתה ובזמנה כשורה ובקל.
