To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Avraham (note 1: Rav A. Pariz. See, regarding him, letter no. 7854),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter regarding your visit to the school of Kfar Saba*, belonging to the network (note 2: Of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch* schools in the Holy Land). I was satisfied by it. You will continue these visits to the other schools and give me a report. It goes without saying that these visits will be pleasant and peaceful. It is not a matter of making a scene in each place, especially not in front of the students, even if you observe what, in your opinion, is not fitting. Indeed, it is indispensable that the students listen to their teachers and their instructors.

For the time being, here is the object of the present letter. You will give to my close relative, Rav A. Z. Slonim (note 3: Rav Azriel Zelig Slonim, of Yerushalayim*. See, regarding him, letter no. 8126), the books he requested from you. You will also give to Rav Leib Zalmanov (note 4: Rav Yechiel Michel Yehuda Leib Zalmanov. See, regarding him, letter no. 7950) the copies of the Tanya* he will request from you and which he will give as gifts to several soldiers. I thank you for all of this. No doubt there will be Chassidic* gatherings in all the regions of the Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, on the occasion of the luminous day of 19 Kislev*, which approaches. I thank you for giving me good news of them, with all the fitting details.

Despite what was said regarding the dissemination, I am sorry to observe that it is presumably not at all at the level it should be. Perhaps it would be good to hold a promotion, with good prices, for some time, a sort of exhibition at reduced prices. Indeed, what purpose is there in keeping these books and selling only a very small quantity? Of course, for this exhibition, you will determine the fitting prices, for one must not allow people to think that such is the true value of these works. I await good news of this. With my blessing on the occasion of the holiday of liberation (note 5: Of the Admur HaZaken*, the 19th of Kislev*),

קבלתי מכתבו בהנוגע לביקורו בבי"ס הרשת בכפר סבא ונהניתי מזה. ובודאי ימשיך ויבקר גם בשאר בתי הספר, ויודיע ממצבם.

ובודאי למותר לעוררו שהביקור יהי' בדרכי נועם ושלום, מבלי לעורר רעש על אתר, ועאכו"כ בפני התלמידים - אם גם ימצאו שם ענינים שאינם מתאימים לפי דעתו, כי הרי מוכרח שהתלמידים ידעו וישמעו לקול המלמד והמורה שלהם -.

ועל של עתה באתי - לתת לש"ב הרה"ח הרע"ז שי' סלונים את הספרים שיבקש מאתו. וכן לתת להרה"ח כו' ליב שי' זלמנוב התניא'ס שיבקש אצלו, על מנת לתתם בתור מתנה לאיזה מאנשי הצבא. ות"ח על טרחתו בזה.

בודאי יתועדו כדבעי בכל קצוי אה"ק ת"ו בים הבהיר י"ט כסלו הבע"ל. ות"ח אם יבשרני טובות, בפרטיות המתאימה, עד"ז.

למרות מ"ש ע"ד הפצה, מצטער הנני כי כנראה אינה במדה המתאימה כלל וכלל.

ואפשר כדאי הי' לעשות מכירה בתנאים נוחים למשך זמן, היינו מין ראספראדאזשא, כי מה תועלת שיהי' הספרים מונחים ונמכרים בכמות פחותה יותר. מובן שגם מכירה זו - ראספראדאזשא - צ"ל במחירים מתאימים, שיש להזהר שלא יטעו לומר אשר שוויים של הספרים הוא זה. ואחכה לבשו"ט.
