To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Yitzchak (note 1: Rav Y. Gansburg. See, regarding him, letters no. 7272, 8055, 8056, 8061, 8065, 8068, 8073, 8085, 8087, 8100, 8116, 8145, 8171, 8211, and 8212),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your express letter from the conclusion of Shabbos* Parshas* Shemos*. I read therein with pleasure that you are involving yourself even more clearly in the activity of the network (note 2: Of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch* schools in the Holy Land) of the institutions bearing the name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of Israel. It is certain that, in this way, you will widen the channel and the receptacles conveying success in this sacred mission, as well as success in your personal concerns and in those of the members of your family. I am surprised that you do not specify whether other Chassidim* come to the aid of the administration of the network, from time to time, in the fitting manner. I hope that if one invites the Chassidim* possessing capabilities in this matter to do so, they will engage even more in this activity.

The restaurant (note 3: The cafeteria) connected to the school in which you teach is particularly important. You tell me that approximately two hundred pounds are needed for this. I hope that the relevant administrations will be able to grant them to you. In any event, several prepaid shipping vouchers were sent to you as a contribution, as well as for the expenses connected to the children's gathering on the day of the Hilloula* of 10 Shevat*. Nevertheless, so as not to create a distinction here between this school and the others, and so as not to call into question the established order, these vouchers were addressed to the Chassid*, Rav D. Hanzin (note 4: Rav David Hanzin. See, regarding him, letter no. 8073).

I hope that you are concerning yourself, with the fitting eagerness, with multiplying the number of students. May Hashem grant you success. You also tell me that you are being offered work, a few hours a day, at the printing press and in typesetting. This proposal does not suit me at all. Not only do you not have the necessary time for it, but moreover, you will no longer be able to concentrate on the work of the network, in its various aspects, and invest yourself in it. Another job would lead you to disperse yourself. I have already specified to you what is, in my opinion, the gate of revelation and elevation for you (note 5: Literally: "from above to below and from below to above"). It is the time you devote to the network. It is certain that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, who directs this network, will reward you many times over. With my blessing,

במענה על מכתבו המהיר ממוצש"ק שמות, נהניתי לקרות בו שנכנס יותר בעבודת הרשת של מוסדות על שם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל, שבודאי ירחיב עי"ז הצנור והכלים להצלחה בעבודת הקדש זו גופא, ולהצלחה בענינים הפרטים שלו ושל כל ב"ב - שיחיו.

לפלא שאינו מזכיר שעוד מאנ"ש מסייעים בידי הנהלת הרשת מזמן לזמן באופן המתאים. ותקותי שכשיעוררו את אלו אנ"ש המתאימים לזה - יסייעו בזה עוד יותר.

ענין המסעדה בקשר עם הבי"ס בו לומדים, לדעתי חשוב הוא במאד. וכיון שכפי שכותב הנה נצרך לזה לפ"ע, 200 לירות. תקותי שבטח יפעלו זה אצל המשרדים המתאימים שיתנו להם. ועכ"פ נשלחו איזה סקריפ בתור השתתפות בהנ"ל וכן בהוצאות הקשורות באסיפת התלמידים ביום ההילולא יו"ד שבט, אלא מפני שלא לחלק בין בי"ס אחד לחבירו - מכאן - וכן שלא לשנות הסדרים הנה נשלחו הסקריפ להרה"ח הר"ד שי' חנזין.

תקותי שמתעסקים להרחיב גבולם בתלמידים-ות במרץ המתאים, והשי"ת יצליחם.

מ"ש שישנה הצעה שאיזה שעות ביום יעבוד בהנוגע לדפוס ואותיות דפוס, לא נראה הדבר בעיני, כי מלבד שיחסר בזמן, הנה העיקר יחסר בהתרכזותו ובמסירתו לעבודת הרשת במקצועות השונים, פיזור הנפש ע"י עבודה במקצוע אחר. ומתאים למ"ש מכבר אודות השער שלו, הן בדרך מלמעלמ"ט והן בדרך מלמטלמ"ע, הנה לדעתי יקדיש כל זמנו לעניני הרשת. ומובטח כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בעל הרשת לשלם שכרו כ"פ ככה...
