Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8043 — Faith & Bitachon

Volume 21 · Letter 290 · To: distingué ‘Hassid qui craint D.ieu

By the grace of Hashem,

6 Shevat* 5715,

Brooklyn,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Shlomo (note 1: Rav Sh. Perin, of London. See, regarding him, letter no. 7965),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 2 Shevat*. I express the wish that upon receipt of the present letter, the state of health of your daughter Malka, may Hashem grant her long life, will have improved and that you will give me good news of her. And may Hashem grant that always and every day, you announce to me only good news, both material and spiritual.

I hope that on the coming 10th of Shevat*, date of the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, the Chassidim* will gather (note 2: Which had presumably not been the case that year) and, of course, that they will motivate themselves toward the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, in general, toward Chassidus*, its customs and its practices, in particular. May Hashem grant success to each of us, within all of Israel, to put this motivation to use in daily existence. And may one serve Hashem with breadth of spirit, in good health, as the Shulchan Aruch*, Orach Chaim*, specifies at chapter 231, "in all your ways." By separate mailing, you have been sent the latest issue of the Kovetz Lubavitch*. I hope you will find therein ideas that you will be able to make available to the greatest number, for the merit of the public depends on it. With my blessing for giving good news,
